Riding lessons are taught through hands-on training and repetition, allowing students opportunities to practice their newly learned skills. Students will learn how to respond to a variety of situations in an enclosed area, for safety, until they develop an almost automatic reaction for each situation. Riders will also have chances to hit the trails, allowing them to further hone their skills, as well as explore exciting local trails.

All lessons are currently private or public, with no more than four students per lesson. This being the case, every lesson is able to focus directly on the students' abilities, allowing them to recognize their strengths and work on their weaknesses.

A great deal of emphasis is put on teaching nonviolent riding and handling techniques, showing students how to work in harmony with their mounts, rather than forcefully. This teaches the student to gain respect for and from their horse, while listening to the horses' body language and responding appropriately. A rider who understands and respects their mount will inevitably have far greater control.

As previously mentioned, lessons will differ depending on individual student's skill level and prior knowledge. Illustrated below are some of the skills that each student can learn:

    Public riding lesson (max. 4 students) with approximately 45 minutes of mounted instruction, as well as time for tacking up/untacking, and grooming.

    1 hour all levels $20.00

    Private riding lesson with approximately 50 minutes of mounted instruction, as well as time for tacking up/untacking, and grooming.

    1 hour all levels $30.00
